Driftwood Provincial Park

Stonecliffe Ontario
Canada K0J 2K0
(613) 586-2553

Campground Descripton:  The building of Des Joachims hydroelectric dam in 1950 created this sheltered bay on the Ottawa River. At Driftwood, you can camp and swim along the sandy shore, and hike to lookouts for panoramic views of the river. Fishing and canoeing can take you deep into the countryside on both shores.

Campsite Reviews
Campsite 21  - Great waterfront site with lots of privacy
Rating:

Camp Date: 7/1/2010

This is a "first come, first serve" campsite - it can't be booked online. This site is pretty awesome. It is a water front site with many tall trees in and around it. You get a pretty strong wind from the river at times and sun only in the morning. Good privacy from other sites, average privacy from the road, however it is the last site in this campground, so not many people walk or drive by. It has a slope down to the water, but there are a couple of level spots to set up a 4-6 person tent. The other sites in this campground were not nearly as private.
