Campground Descripton: The Long Sault Parkway was unique in its creation. It is a series of 11 islands that were created from high points of land left after the flooding of the St. Lawrence River during the construction of the Seaway in the 1950's. In fact several villages once stood where the river now lies, a fascinating story captured at the Lost Villages display along the Parkway.

Campsite 107 - Watching the river flow by... Rating: Camp Date: 7/23/2007 We moved here after camping a a terrible site at Woodlands. This site is awesome. Right on the St Lawrence River, just down from a nice beach. We watched the freighters pass by. The kids fished off the shore. Close to the playground. Only issue is you have to drive to the showers. Reviewed by kirby the camper on 8/6/2008
