Campground Descripton:  A complex ecosystem unfolds at this all-season park on a seven-kilometre stretch of coast on Lake Huron. Guided walks by the shore and through silver maple swamps, cattail marshes, ponds, fens and bogs reveal unusual inhabitants. Carnivorous (meat-eating) plants make this their home. Rare dwarf lake iris and the elusive spotted turtle appear in the spring. Migrating birds, including the black-crowned night heron and the American egret, stop here to snack. Winter visitors can camp in yurts and cross-country ski.

Campsite 174  - Not a bad site, nothing special
Rating:

Camp Date: 6/27/2009

The privacy is fair although the site is quite visible to site #172. There a two comfort stations nearby and the beach is a short walk away. The water was warm but murky. We had three tents on the site no problem. Note: There is poison ivy on this site so be careful in your flip flops.
